To keep crisis center directors informed of the status of the federally funded suicide prevention hotline project, a number of telephone conference calls have been hosted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the network administrator for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, the Mental Health Association of New York City (MHA of NYC). For your reference, written summaries and audio files have been provided for each of these calls.

With the launch of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-TALK) in January 2005, SAMHSA and MHA of NYC presently are conducting a series of conference calls with crisis centers participating in the network. Future conference calls are being planned and will be announced to networked crisis centers. Please check our events calendar for updates.

In the summer and fall of 2004, SAMHSA hosted a series of conference calls to discuss the federally funded suicide prevention hotline network. During the calls, the moderators provided an update of the network and opened up the call for questions and discussion.
